Although we are a physical "real world" shop open 5 days a week, we are primarily a pet food shop. Tracklay customers are welcome by appointment. Please let us know in advance if you do wish to collect an order we are mainly geared up for mail order and need to prepare orders prior to collection. We do not sell any other model products so there is not a lot to see. :-)
Around 2006 we took over the marketing of "Tracklay Model Railway Ballasting System". Tracklay originated with Steve Forrester who began marketing the product in the 1980's, unfortunately Steve has since passed away, Steves wife , Jean, asked me to help with the marketing of Tracklay which I did until Jeans passing in 2011. I now continue to market Tracklay by myself to keep Steve and Jeans product available.
IMPORTANT REGARDING PAYMENTS PLEASE READ. We accept payments by either debit or credit card,. Cards are processed by "Paypal", we never see your card details. We only get a notification of payment from the processors.

For UK customers.
Under "Distance Selling" laws you have the right to return undamaged/unused goods within 14 days of delivery. You must notify us in writing of your intention to return goods within 7 days of receipt before posting. You must get Proof of posting for items that you return. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt, insurance is advised. If a returned item becomes lost in the post you will be expected to do the required claiming from the Royal Mail to get compensation for the value of the item. If the reason for return is our fault ( yes we do make mistakes) then we will refund all costs,
We attempt to despatch your parcel same day or within a two days of payment. We do not usually post on Saturdays or the day before a bank holiday and obviously we do not post on bank holidays or Sundays.
Note that Royal Mail delivery times are only guidelines and our own statistics show that first class can once in a while take as long as 10 days, (not often but it does happen) 2nd class even longer again not the norm but occasionally. Of course some parcels never arrive!. If a parcel is late we can only make a claim to the Royal Mail after 14 days at which time we will also send out a replacement, if your parcel is urgent and cannot take the chance of being delayed then we recommend requesting a timed delivery service for which an extra fee will be payable. If you wish to shout at us for the failure of the Royal Mail to deliver then you will be redirected to the Royal Mail to shout at them.
If the Royal Mail attempt to deliver and you are not in they will leave a calling card, it is your responsibility to then ring the number on the card and get your parcel re-delivered or go and collect it from the sorting office. Also please be aware that for recorded deliveries that are uncollected the Royal Mail will return them to us after 1 week. Once returned we will refund the price of the goods, but the original postage paid will not be refunded, obviously we cannot get the postage back from the Royal Mail if they have tried to deliver the parcel.
Refunds. Any refunds made will not necessarily be by the same method as the original payment. This is at our discretion.
International Shipping (Non UK)
Please be aware that you are responsible for shipping costs regardless of whether you actually receive your package. We cannot be responsible for any tariffs, customs restrictions, or other regulations that apply in countries outside the UK. We encourage you to speak with your customs office if you have any questions. You are responsible for any duties or taxes that may apply to the shipment of any products to your country. By law, we are obligated to report the exact amount of the sale on the Customs form. As a customer, you are responsible to comply with International, National or local laws regulating importation of products that you may purchase. It is entirely your responsibility to NOT order items that are illegal to import into your country. There is usually not an importation problem, but occasionally they occur. The risk is yours. You will be responsible for the entire package cost if it is seized and we do not get it back.
If for any reason the package is seized by Customs Officials, we will not issue you a refund unless all products are returned to us in their original condition. If the package is returned to us by Customs Officials, you are still responsible for any shipping charges.
If an order is refused delivery by customs due to unauthorized ingredients or contents, Tracklay Sales is not to be held responsible for any losses or costs incurred by the customer. If the shipment is abandoned the customer will not receive a refund or credit of any kind. If in any case we received a return of any shipment refused by customs authorities of any country, Tracklay Sales will credit the customer for the value of the unopened and un-tampered products purchased. No refund on shipping charges incurred for the return of the shipment or shipping charges sending the product.
Charges are based on destination. Customers are responsible for all exported content. It is the consumers responsibility to know the laws and regulations for importing products into their country. Customers are responsible for any losses Tracklay Sales does not guarantee successful delivery due to import/export laws & regulations that the consumer is responsible for. It is the consumers sole responsibility to only order what is legal for sale in their country. Receiver is responsible for any and all duty and/or VAT.
Payments made over the internet by cards are administered by Paypal, they are the only ones to see your card details, we have no access to them whatsoever. We are notified by the processors when you make a payment to us, they then pass us your delivery details and the total amount paid, and nothing else.
Order Cancellation.
You have the right to cancell this order within 14 days of placing it without giving reason.
To cancel you must give us clear and written details giving the information as follows:-

Upon receipt of the unused and undamaged goods we will reimburse the original cost and postage.If the goods are faulty or mis-described we will re-imburse the return posatge, other than those two exceptions you are liable for the return postage.
