1000 grams N/Z gauge chippings Various weights available. OO are 2mm grey chippings. Crushed grey granite that is passed through a 2mm sieve. N/Z are 0.7mm to 1.2mmmm coloured quartz chippings passed through a 1mm sieve. It is recommended to rinse and dry before use to remove any dust. ( n.b. the new N/Z chippings are a lot cleaner than the old granite ones) 400g is usually enough to cover 10m of Tracklay Underlay
1000 Grams (2kg) N/Z gauge Ballast chippings
Our new N/Z chippings are 0.7mm to 1.2mmmm coloured quartz chippings passed through a 1.2mm sieve. ( These are a replacement for the old n/z granite which is discontinued at the manufacturer)
Scattered over the exposed adhesive on the Tracklay underlay to quickly ballast your trackwork. Add a small bead of (preferably) rubber based glue to the edges and again scatter ballast to finish the sides off.
It is recomended to rinse and dry before use to remove any dust. ( n.b. the new N/Z chippings are a lot cleaner than the old granite ones)
400g is usually enough to cover 10m of Tracklay Underlay
Not just for ballast of course, can also be used for scenic scatter, wagon loads, (build a false base in wagons), or piles of chippings ready to be used by the inhabitants of your layouts.
Ballast and underlay are sold separatley.
